Broad agreement between all employer and sector associations within Almega and the Academic Trade Unions

All employer and sector associations within Almega and the Academic Trade Unions within Saco-P have for the first time signed a broad agreement for all great sectors with collective bargaining agreements. In a letter of intent the parties state that they will build the collective bargaining agreement of the future together. The platform will be the relations between the employee and his or her immediate supervisor.

- It is historic that we now, together with the Academic Trade Unions take initiative to form the collective bargaining agreements of the future, says the CEO of Almega, Jonas Milton. The new jobs are here in the growing innovative service sector and a big portion of the new jobs are jobs for graduates. 

- Through this agreement the Academic Trade Unions can take part in forming modern collective bargaining agreements, says Mikael Andersson, supervisor of the negotiators within Civilekonomerna. This agreement gives the companies a competitive advantage as well as gives the employees the opportunity to affect their working situation which is important to be able to meet the challenges of the future. 

The parties agree that the human resource must stand in the center in the service sector. The companies depend on the employees’ performance. That is why the parties want to create collective bargaining agreements of the future adapted to the individuals, not the collective.

The agreement that has been signed contains salary increases of 6,8 percent over a three-year period and a sixth month of payment during parental leave. The main focus of the agreement is the joint work of the parties to develop the collective bargaining agreements of the future.
Almega and the Academic Trade Unions will work with the following key areas during the agreement period:

  • The Boundless job. A development effort to stimulate jobs and working conditions which makes it possible to have a sustainable working life throughout ones whole career.
  • Salary formation. Salaries are to be decided locally based on the company’s preconditions and the employee’s performance.
  • Modern and flexible collective bargaining agreements which gives the employee freedom and power to make agreements with his or her superior and the company.

Agreements have been signed within the following sectors: IT, Telekom, Almega Tjänsteföretagen- tjänstemän, Almega Tjänsteföretagen- revision och konsult, Medieföretagen and Svenska Teknik & Designföretagen and affects approximately 130 000 employees.
